Oh Hey September!
Today is the first day of my second favorite month of the year! September brings promises of pumpkin flavored drinks, football weekends, fall decorations, and my birthday. To ring in the month, we are having a mini Tennessee Vols viewing party with the girls tonight. Annabelle and her Daddy have been talking about the Vols for months and I know they’re excited to watch the game together. Plus, my best friend is dropping off pizza and salad, so we won’t have to cook!
A not so happy anniversary
If I’m being perfectly honest, this month will mark exactly one year since my world was rocked terribly. Thankfully my friends and family helped me through the difficult time and I am a stronger person now because of it all. I learned to take the time to reflect on what’s good in my life with Notes to Myself and by looking through Magic Moments. I fear over the last few months those habits have fallen wayside, and seeing that I am about to turn 31 in 23 short days, I would like to remedy that. It’s time to soak in the new baby smells and the silly toddler antics.
Here’s to a new month – the one that brings us FALL – and the end of my 30th year.
