There are only three days (including today) between my sister’s bachelorette party and me. I am SO excited to get away for some adult-only fun as it’s been way too long since I’ve done anything without little girls. My sissy Tine and her high school sweetheart are getting married on September 23, so to celebrate her final months as an unmarried lady we are whisking her away to Washington, D.C.. We have kept a lot of the details secret, so she is going to be quite surprised with all that we have planned.
Tine is the last of our trio to get married and Lizzie and I are so thrilled to be her Matrons. I can’t forget to add Carly, her future sis-in-law, is the maid of honor. The three of us make Tine’s VIS – Very Important Sisters.
Remember when we went to Cape Cod last year…well Lizzie and I are switching roles for Tine’s bachelorette party. This time Lizzie is the pregnant one and I’m baby-less, free to do whatever I please. Watch out world…
There are twelve of us, including the bride, going to D.C. for three days. We are staying at the Kimpton Mason and Rook Hotel in downtown D.C. If you’ve not heard of the hotel, check them out asap. Kimpton Hotels are SO amazing and each location is unique.
I don’t know what I’m most excited about… but Lizzie, Tine, and I are inseparable. It is so hard living away from them, so I can’t wait to be reunited with my little sisters on Friday. The three of us have been the bestest of friends for years… and we have more fun than anyone else when we are together. I am so excited to honor Tine for the weekend as she deserves the biggest and bestest celebration of us all.

Lizzie, Carly, and I are hosting the bachelorette getaway. We have a packed itinerary with sightseeing, museums, brunch, dinners and more (dancing WILL happen). I recruited my bff Kim to help with decorations, Carly put together gift bags, and Lizzie has collected all the odds and ends for an awesome weekend. Our theme is boho-bride and I can’t wait for Tine to see what we have for her to wear. She isn’t the traditional sash-wearing Bride. Think more of a flower-bed-coat-boho-crown wearing kind of girl who loves to be silly…
I should mention that my Mom and the groom’s Mom will be joining us and they aren’t your typical Mommas. Tine’s bachelorette weekend will surely be one to remember! You’re going to want to follow us on Instagram this weekend, as I promised a few people who can’t come that I would try my best to document everything. Only three days to go!
