Simple Mom Outfits // Floral Romper

The Romper has not always been my friend. Since most rompers usually ride up my backside or are cut down too low in the front, I don’t even bother trying on the cute rompers I see in stores. However, over the last few years I’ve bought a few that keep me on Team Romper – they are just too comfortable to not wear! Since I have started sharing simple mom outfits that will make you feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable, I had to show you this haltered floral romper from Tobi.

The Caught Up Black Multi Romper is soft, lightweight, and perfect for the warm months ahead. The black, burnt orange, and ivory flowered romper has a halter neck with a self tie and a little peek-a-boo space in the back. I have this amazing floor length cardigan – the cool kids call it a duster – that’s easy to throw over the romper if it’s a little chilly in the morning or the evening. The romper can look dressy with a low heeled bootie or casual with a flat sandal. My favorite pair of closed toe shoes in my closet right now are these black leather Leila Booties by TOMS.

A great spring/summer accessory is a floppy hat to not only hide your dirty Mom hair, but to also shade your face from the sun. I have light sensitive eyes and sometimes my sunglasses just don’t do the trick. I found my maroon hat in a boutique in Provincetown, Cape Cod last summer during my sister’s bachelorette party, but most stores are carrying big hats this season so if you’re loving the look, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one. I am wearing one of my summer staples – the black Jack Rogers Palm Beach Sandals. They are made of a rich leather, so while they may seem casual, they’re still chic (and comfortable!).

My Lily Jade Madeline diaper bag in Camel compliments the neutral floral romper – and it’s one of the many Lily Jade diaper bags on sale right now for Mother’s Day! If you’re not toting the kids around, a simple black leather cross-body would compliment the outfit and be ideal for a date night.

Rompers are perfect for Moms because while they resemble a dress, you never have to worry about showing off your fanny when you’re bending over to pick up all your kids’ crap. If you have a wild crawling baby like me – you’ll look cute instead of indecent while you crawl after her in public. I love that the few rompers I do own are easy items to transition from day to night with the simple switch of my footwear or handbag.
