one. wedding weekend.
It’s FINALLY my sister’s wedding weekend!!! I feel like Tine and Dean got engaged five years ago – these love birds have been together since they were in high school, so we have been anxiously awaiting them to make it official. The wedding is on the groom’s family’s property in Killingworth, CT – it is the most incredibly beautiful piece of land. Everything for the wedding is pretty much DIY except for the food and flowers – I can’t wait to share pictures!
two. my wolfpack.
We are finally reunited! The wedding rehearsal dinner went really late and the girls were up way past their bedtime (can you tell by their faces??). We couldn’t believe how well behaved they were though for the change of routine. The wedding is during the day on Saturday so I’m not worried about them being crazy circus clowns.
three. Happy First Day of FALL!
HOORAY! It’s finally FALL! I don’t know how I lucked out that my dress matched the girls’ outfits for the rehearsal dinner, but it did! And so did my spray tan…I couldn’t shower before the events so I looked a little bit like a gingerbread cookie last night.
four. MOH speech.
There are three MOHs for the wedding because we are all her “Very Important Sisters” and somehow I have to go last in the speech order. Both girls have already written their speeches and I am having trouble figuring out how to close out all the greatness that they say. I work best under pressure, so I’m hoping to get it done today (maybe with a little help from my friend called Mumm).
five. all the emotions.
The emotions are running on high today and tomorrow. We are headed to the wedding site to put everything together and tonight I’m spending Tine’s last night as a single lady with her drinking Champs and watching Gilmore Girls. The ceremony is at 11:30 tomorrow morning so it will be an early turn in for all. We need our rest for the all day party tomorrow… and I hope I don’t cry too much and ruin my spray tan (right Liz and Tine?).
