By request, I had to do something where the husbands tell all. These four husbands are some lucky men – married to me, my cousin, or two best friends – fathers to beautiful little girls – and expecting another bundle of joy this summer (1 girl and 3 boys on the way!). I’ve asked the husbands to confess their deepest darkest thoughts this week and boy are they good. I won’t reveal who said what… but let’s start with what one guy has learned NEVER to say to his pregnant wife.
“No… those don’t make you look big.”
“Are you going to eat that?”
“It’s your turn to rock her.”
Here are some things that one wife asks three times a day… at a minimum… that make her husband crazy, but he never answers honestly.
“Is that ankle swollen?”
“How soon do you think I’ll fit back into my skinny jeans?”
“Do you smell that?!”
“Is it okay if I order a few more things for the baby?”
And finally, some great quotes straight from the husband’s mouth.
“Are you going to play that card for 9 months”
“Wait, what happened to those last couple of pizza slices?”
“Dayamnnnnn look at them curves!”
“You’re wearing my shirts and boxers again?”
“Should we tonight? Yeah, probably not”
My favorite is the last… because I think that every husband either asks this, or wants to ask this, but then sees his pregnant whale of a wife icing herself between the legs and decides otherwise.
