Friday Favorites – Beach Must Haves

We have one more day here in Destin, FL, so I wanted to share my beach must haves for my Friday favorites. These items are necessary for fun weekend in the sun and sand. What are your beach must haves?

Beach Must Haves

Sunscreen Lip Balm

My bottom lip is three times the size as my top because it is sunburned. I forgot to wear sunscreen lip balm one day and truly regret the mistake. Our bottom lips are very sensitive to the sun and can burn easily, so it is important to protect your lips with a sunscreen lip balm.

After Sun Spray

If you happen to end up with a sunburn after a day at the beach, it is important to immediately treat the burn with Vitamin E and moisturizer. The Solar Recovery Save Your Skin spray works wonders. I had a small area on my leg that was burnt and after spraying the Vitamin E laden water on it, the burn was gone overnight.

Beach Hat

Family Beach Hat

Whether you like to wear a baseball hat or a big floppy hat, covering your scalp and face is a must when you’re on the beach. I always end up with a burnt scalp at the end of vacation, so I pack a hat to wear part of the day we spend in the sun. Annabelle and Ailey usually do not like wearing beach hats, but we found one they don’t mind – the iPlay Beach Hat is perfect for covering your little ones’ face, neck, scalp and ears.

A Beach Cooler

Hydration is key when you’re in the sun and salt water. We always make sure to pack a cooler filled with ice, water, and other drinks. Annabelle became dehydrated the first day we were in Florida and it was scary.
