Decorating for each season doesn’t have to be an expensive task. There are easy and expensive ways to decorate for spring. Try hanging a faux floral wreath on your door or filling a vase with colorful Easter eggs! These items can be found at inexpensive stores or maybe even in your own home. Here are five Easy and Inexpensive Ways to Decorate for Spring.

Decorate with Flowers – Fresh or Faux

Flowers can brighten up any space whether they are fresh or faux flowers. Fresh flowers on the center of our dining room, in a small vase on my desk, and by the kitchen sink make me smile every day.

I truly love fresh flowers, but they can be expensive. If you shop at Trader Joe’s, their flower selection is fantastic and cheap, plus the flowers last long. We also have local farms in town that sell $5 bouquets roadside starting around Mother’s Day.

We have faux floral wreaths and faux boxwood wreaths on display around our home, in the kitchen, dining room, and bedroom. I love using faux floral wreaths because they last forever.
Faux flowers are easy to buy online in bulk or at craft stores if you want to create your own wreath or bouquet. My floral kitchen wreath and our floral front door wreath is handmade from Creations by JoyBelle on Etsy.

Decorate with Spring Themed Items
Many of the spring themed items around my home have been collected over the years from a variety of stores. There are some spring bunnies I purchased from Home Goods and Kirklands, but there are a lot of cheaper options out there. Check your local Target, the Dollar store, and Walmart for sections with inexpensive seasonal items – some of my favorite spring decorations were found in Target’s Dollar spot.

I decorated our bar cart wth a vase full of dollar store eggs, faux flowers, and a wooden bunny. Colorful Easter eggs and bunnies in different textures are an easy way to add a little bit of whimsy to a room.

Switch out Throw Pillows
An easy way to brighten up your living room or bedroom is to switch out your throw pillows. Pillow covers are inexpensive, as is looking for end of season sales on pillows at home decor stores.

Decorate with Homemade Spring artwork

There is nothing more precious than a handprint bunny or hand-painted bouquet of flowers by a child. Decorate your home with homemade spring artwork. My daughters love art projects so we make painted canvases to use as decor for each season. If you don’t have kids, try your hand at painting something yourself!

Use What You Already Own
Milk glass is one of the first items I started collecting since we moved into our new house. I use it as decoration around our home and add seasonal items to the vases. For spring, it’s easy to put a branch of faux or real Eucalyptus or Pussy Willow into a vase. I buy real Eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s and my sister grows a Pussy Willow tree in her backyard, but you can find faux plants online.

Annabelle loves bunnies, so she has a few bedroom decorations that I bring downstairs during the spring. Everyone loves spring bunny decor, right?

As you can see, it can be easy and inexpensive to decorate for spring. From decorating with fresh or faux flowers, switching out your throw pillows, or allowing your children to create spring art, there are fun ways to make your house feel as spring-y inside as it does outside.
