one. watermelon.II2VI1FAM1

I can’t stop eating it! I despise cutting whole watermelons though, so the only time I have it is when I find a respectable looking container at the grocery store or find someone to dissect the giant fruit mess for me. Isn’t it funny that the baby is the size of a watermelon during weeks 36-40…

two. growing.IMG_1022

Wow. I’m NINE months pregnant today (36 weeks)… and in 3-4 weeks we will be adding two more feet to our little family. This picture was one of my favorite photos from our trip to Destin last month. Next summer our vacations will be quite different, so I am happy to have captured such a random moment – Daddy, Mommy, Annabelle, and the baby bump hanging out.

three. ballerina bedroom progress.

Next week I should be able to finally reveal Annabelle’s big girl ballerina bedroom. We have some more items to hang on the walls  and then we are DONE! The nursery should be done in a week and a half – I’m just waiting on some bedding to come in the mail.

four. sprinkle number 2.

My friends Caroline, Emily, and Kim threw me and Baby A a sprinkle last weekend that was too cute for words. I felt so honored the girls wanted to celebrate us. Caroline made our little girl so many adorable onesies, Emily bought her a monogrammed coming home outfit, and Kim ordered her the cutest blush Freshly Picked moccasins ever. A few others friends came and brought gift cards and baby wipes (YES!).

five. what’s in a name?

Ailey 9210

We shall call her Ailey Leighton (eye-lee lay-ton). If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, then you know that I finally revealed our baby’s name! I didn’t want to make a huge announcement because I knew once I did, the pronunciation and background story questions would start. Truth be told, it was a hard decision to make and we didn’t want to include anyone but Annabelle in the process. I knew I wanted an A name, but it wasn’t necessary. In the end, Annabelle chose her baby sister’s first name and we all agreed on the middle (which may or may not be the same as a certain actress I used to love). I love how Annabelle says her name and I can’t wait to see the little girl that will go with it! (Photo above is her personalized baby blanket from AudreysBear on Etsy).
