Everyone loves to receive gifts, especially as a thank you for attending an event. My friend Claire and I hosted Galentine’s Day brunch to celebrate our best blog girlfriends and sent everyone home with a bag of party favors. Today I’m excited to share with you tips on assembling the perfect gift bag (and a peek at what’s inside ours!).

Choose items your guests will be excited to use
From nail polish to perfume to a homemade bath tea, every item in a gift bag should serve a purpose. We chose products that would make our friends feel pampered and feminine.
Tip: Try creating a gift bag with a theme!

How many items should I put in a gift bag?

Never stuff a gift bag to the brim with meaningless items. Each products should have a purpose!

When making a gift bag to say Thank You for attending an event, consider quality over quantity. A few nice items are better than a bunch of useless stuff.
- Perfume Trio by Phlur
- Floral earrings from Sea Marie Designs
- Pink Sea Salt Chocolate by Raaka
- A homemade bath bomb
- Nail Polish from The Spa at Litchfield Hills
- Love Jacket by ANR Cookies
- Tub Tea by Anchors Away Supply Co
Tip: You don’t have to spend a fortune on gifts and can even try making your own. Claire made our girlfriends a homemade bath bomb! I’ve received other homemade items from events such as cake pops, essential oil rollers, and bath sugar scrubs.

Here are some more great ideas to include in a gift bag for your guests:
- Chapstick or Lip Gloss
- Face Mask or Eye Patches
- Candy
- Personalized Stationary

Do you have to give your guests a gift for attending an event?
NO. When hosting an event, such as a Galentine’s Day Brunch, it is always nice to give your friends a farewell gift. However, party favors are never necessary, especially when the purpose of having an event is to spend time with your friends and family.

We are very fortunate for our incredible sponsors providing the items for our gift bags. THANK YOU to Phlur, Raaka, Sea Marie Designs, Anchors Away Supply Co, ANR Cookies and, The Spa at Litchfield Hills.
