Since I am sitting in the airport with an hour to kill, I thought I would put together my five favorite things about this Mom’s weekend away for my sister’s bachelorette. Here are some things I brought to wear… some things I plan to take advantage of… and one special girl. Happy Friday!!
one. the romper.
I found it – I found the PERFECT romper pantsuit that I mentioned back in January. I bought the last one in stock, right off the mannequin, from one of my favorite local boutiques, Sage. It’s comfortable, Mom-approved, and fits perfectly. I swear it was made just for me.
two. uninterrupted cocktails.
I can’t tell you the last time I had an uninterrupted cocktail – you know, one I was able to drink and enjoy without worrying about the little one that would wake in the middle of the night. I think it was two Novembers ago in Napa before I became pregnant with Ailey. I will 100% enjoy all of my uninterrupted cocktails this weekend.
three. uninterrupted sleep.
Is it sad that I am more excited to share a bed (at Mason & Rook) with my sister’s sister-in-law than if I was sleeping in my California King alone? For the next two nights the only reason I might need to wake up is to pump (going away when you’re EBF is a pain) and I am so excited. I love my daughters but the youngest just hates to sleep. Last night she made a point to make sure I don’t forget her by keeping me up all night.
four. this OTS dress.
Another awesome find at Sage and another fantastic fitting room photo. I haven’t found any pieces of clothing I really love the last couple of times I’ve gone shopping, so I was thrilled when I found not one, but TWO things to bring with me to the bachelorette weekend. This dress is soft, comfortable, and perfect for dinner tonight.
five. the bride.
How could I not mentioned the bride? Tine – one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world and the girl I will call my sister forever – deserves this weekend in her honor more than anyone I know. I feel so lucky to know her and to have my daughters call her Zia. She has to be one of my Friday Favorites because she is amazing. I hope this weekend is everything to her and that she feels as special as she is to all of us.
